Has anyone done their 1031 Fire Inspector?
Just enrolled in all of the level, one fire inspector courses at FESTI, didn’t realize I have to do the preparation course as well.. currently will have to do four nights of School, 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Thursday Just wondering if anyone has done this course with FESTI or elsewhere, wondering what the course is like, only 40 hours per course so it doesn’t seem like too much. I hope I’m not going to get swamped with coursework and made a mistake Scheduling all four back to back Also, not sure what to expect, if someone could give me the rundown of how the course is what to expect it would be much appreciate! Thanks!

@Victor Paletta How was it? Course work shouldn’t be too much, considering it’s once a week, 3-4 hours a day? Only thing is I enrolled in all 4 (4th being FESTIs prep course) but apparently they say it’s manageable
Anybody do FSO testing?
Looking to apply for Niagara, St Catharines, Hamilton, Burlington and Mississauga. I went on the website and cannot find a way to register for any dates for the rest of the year? Is this a normal or do I have to wait for them to post more testing dates does anyone, have any experience with FSO? Looking to have everything done by mid summer/early fall. I emailed them for more information, but I appreciate any extra advice or information that any of you guys have! 👨🏻‍🚒🔥 Feel free to comment or message me on Instagram just so I don’t flood everyone with notifications lol Maxwellr.97 Thanks!

@Stuart Db Okay awesome I appreciate it. I’ll definitely keep my eyes out! So in other words FSO would be my last step, should have resume/cover letter etc all finished, along with DZ. I’ve never done a CPAT no. I do need to get into better shape so not sure when exactly I’ll be thinking I’ll be ready by I think by September/October I’d be confident to apply Also appreciate all your help, seriously! Much appreciated

@Stuart Db Okay awesome Stuart I appreciate all the info! I just wish that I could get all of my testing done before a job opening and comes out just so I can have it ready so that’s a little frustrating if they do that but like you’re saying just to clarify when a job posting does come up in it requires FSO Will be able to book at the time of the job posting on first come first serve basis?
Resume Builder?
Hey everyone, wondering what the best company or who to reach out to help structure a resume? I’ve heard of Kate Mowat, recommended from FESTI I’ve also heard of many people using Fire Recruitment I believe, correct me if I’m wrong! Any recommendations? I won’t be needing this as I don’t think I’ll be applying until Mid summer/fall after I finish my EMR, but if there is a waitlist, I might possibly reach out sooner in state that EMR will be completed at said date Thanks! 🚒

Also I started using nose strips, they work wonders for anyone who has a possible deviated symptom. I also snore I am experimenting with mouth take. Will keep everyone updated! Nose strips are an absolute game changer with Magnesium, ashwagandha, and theanine. I definitely recommend nose strips for anyone with early onset of sleep apnea or who snores

@Victor Paletta I was actually thinking the same. If I’d look like an idiot wearing them when I hired haha. I wish I used them at FESTI! That’s awesome though I’m glad they work that way too!
