7 Wood
I typically shoot around 90 for 18 holes. I’m considering purchasing a 7 wood, my brother just bought one and I hit it at the range. I hit several balls and the all flew high, long, and straight so I think I’m sold. Please give me your recommendations on what brand you think I should buy. I look forward to hearing from you. Ryan's idea ... The Cleveland Halo XL is just a tremendous club
Wedges
Looking to change up to 3 wedges. Currently I have Ping 52, 56, 60° wedges. Thinking of Taylormade or Titleist. Please advise!

Here's a different take for you to consider: if you are a very low handicap player, if your regular iron set includes forged blades, then the traditional wedges put out by Taylor made and vokey might be great choices. But for 90% of golfers the best wedge I have tested and have in my bag are the Edison 2.0 wedges. Before you make a purchase just check out Edison golf on the internet. And read some of the expert reviews that you can find on YouTube. I also like the fact that Edison allows you to have a 30-day return.
Club length
I am 6'1" with a wrist to floor height of 37". According to the charts online, it seems as though I would benefit from irons a 1/2 inch longer than standard. How much of a difference does that really make?

I'm the opposite of you and need my irons at minus one half. My experience with my new irons that were properly fitted was that ball striking was much easier I was getting crisper hits. I would strongly recommend that you find a set that's one half inch longer. It will make a big difference for you
In the market for irons
I’m in the market for irons. I’ve read tons of reviews and recommendations. I recently went for a fitting too. I tried a few different brands and shafts. They determined Taylormade Qi was best for me. I don’t want to spend as much. I’ve read a lot about Srixon ZX5 and Wilson Dynapower. My main goal is distance. I have a higher than normal launch so I think I should get irons with lower lofts. Local golf shop told me it’s normally not a good idea to change the loft. I’d like to get your take and suggestion irons for me. Thanks, Atri ---- Question submitted via email

I agree with Ryan about the Wilson Dinapower... Over the past two years Wilson has made a dramatic comeback with their irons. The build quality is extremely high.
Irons Recommendation
I'm a 70-year-old pastor of a small church, so money is a major issue. I''ve been playing for 50 years and am a low handicapper. Does anyone have a suggestion on new irons (4-PW)? I've considered Lazrus, but the more I read, I dismissed that option. Appreciate the help.

I game a set of irons that were made up by a company called Golfworks. Golf works designs and produces about 12 different club heads serving from scratch players to high handicappers. Astoundingly high quality in the build, and very very low prices. For about $490 I had them build a set that they call maltby s-2 irons. They are for mid to low handicap players. These clubs are forged, have a buttery feel, allow me move the ball as I see fit from fade to draw from high to low. Take a moment and check them out on the internet I think you'll be impressed. What I love about them is that they will spec your irons. In my case I'm minus one and a half short, 2° flat and needed midsize grips. They charge nothing extra to do these kinds of builds.
