We’re sitting in second right now, but trust me it’s only a matter of time before we take the top spot.
Online Medicine Opportunities
Hey guys! I would really really really appreciate if all the aspiring-med students in this forum could give me a few online medicine-related extracurricular ideas. I'm in india and my search for research/ volunteering/ extracurricular opportunities has been quite limited. I would love to know of online oportunities/ oppportunities in India/ your experiences with extracurriculars in medicine so far. thanks a bunch!!

Hey Sana! I get how tough it is to find good stuff like that here. Have you checked out any online courses on Coursera or edX? I’ve seen some options in medicine that could be useful. Hope you find something that works.
Anyone else struggling to stay motivated?
Some days I’m all fired up, ready to crush my goals, and other days…... not so much. I’m starting to realize that motivation isn’t always going to show up so maybe it’s more about building a habit? Like, even on the worst days just doing something to keep the momentum going. What do you guys do when you’re totally unmotivated? Any tricks for pushing through, or do you just force it and hope for the best? Could definitely use some ideas to make this whole staying-on-track thing a bit easier!

@Anna Jain Thanks, Anna! If I could bring even a bit of that reel energy into studying I think I’d be set. I’ll work on finding that balance between passion and discipline. Appreciate it👍!

@Eve Murphy Thanks, Eve! Totally agree, small steps are way better than burning out trying to do everything at once. Keeping it steady seems like the way to go. Appreciate the advice!
What Total Focus Really Looks Like
Ever had that moment where you're so absorbed in what you're doing that you lose track of time? That’s total focus. It’s not just about sitting still or working hard; it's about being all in, mentally and physically. Every part of your mind is tuned into just one thing, almost like the world fades out. Getting to that point isn’t easy. I’m finding that it takes practice to ignore distractions and build up concentration. Some people do it with routines or by working in short, intense bursts (ever heard of the Pomodoro Technique?). Others say it helps to visualize their goal first. For me, it's still a work in progress. What does focus look like for you? If you have any tricks for blocking out everything else, I’d love to hear them!
