New Generation Miami Short Film Festival
Hello, filmmakers! Looking for an opportunity to watch films by Miami’s up and coming talent and networking with fellow filmmakers? Well this Sunday, November 10th is the New Generation Miami Short Film Festival. The festival’s goal is to highlight local talent under the age of 30. Starting at 1pm, the festival will show a wide variety of films and what makes this festival special is that all films will either be in Spanish or contain Spanish subtitles, allowing a wider audience to enjoy. The event will be held at the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora (also known as ‘The Cuban’ or ‘The Cuban Museum’). My film UNNESTED will be screening as well as other Miami Dade College thesis films. See you there! 🗓️ Sunday, November 10th 🕰️ 1pm - 5pm 📍 American Muesem of the Cuban Diaspora 1200 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33145 🎟️ Free Admission

@Leda Barham They divided the festival into Miami-made films and Cuban made films. The “made in Cuba” block was so hard hitting, really opens your eyes to the history and current experience of the Cuban people.
10!
Yesterday I received notification that my thesis film UNNESTED has been selected into its 10th film festival this year. This time last year we were cramming in post production so we could screen our film at the Miami Dade College Bachelor’s Student screening. Fast forward to now and I’ve met so many people from all walks of life at these festivals and they loved the film so much. To the amazing crew who helped me bring this film to life, let this motivate you moving forward! Our hard work has been appreciated and loved by so many. Keep working and doing what you love because the world needs your art https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCGDM37t1LJ/?igsh=dGNxYzU2a3Roc3Zy

I was (still am) a BTR fan but I respect 1D! They have a special place in so many people’s hearts and they created this fun escapism for young teen girls at the time. Wholesome music and content. I never would have expected to see one of the members pass now, it’s something you expect when you are grandparent or something, years in the future. Time is precious 💔
‘Reel Minds’ Miami Mental Health Film Festival 2024
Hello, fellow filmmakers! Tomorrow Oct. 20th is NAMI Miami’s Mental Health Film Festival (also known as The ‘Reel Minds’ Film Festival). My MDC Workshop Thesis film, UNNESTED, got selected! Many members of this community worked so hard on this film, so let’s come out and support each other. NAMI is the National Alliance for Mental Illness, an important organization that does amazing work in Miami. This festival is a special one, as this year marks the return of the festival since 2019 due to the pandemic. It will be held at the beautiful Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center (The Moss Center) in Cutler Bay and there will be numerous guest speakers including Mayor of Miami Dade County Daniella Levine Cava. As you can see, it’s an important event! It is a paid ticket event, so grab your tickets on The Moss Center website https://www.mosscenter.org/mc/eventDetail.page?id=349 The festival in general will be very hopeful and uplifting, while tackling some serious topics. The goal of the festival is to present mental health in a respectful, artistic and optimistic light 🌟🧠 See you there! 🗓️ Sunday, October 20th, 2024 📍 Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center 🕰️ 1pm - 5pm 🎟️ Tickets Required
