Greetings
Hello everyone. I own a small restaurant in the middle of nowhere in a smaller community. We are in a tough marketing environment. We are off the beaten path so we don't have visibility and struggle to be top on people's minds when deciding where to go eat.

Thank you for your comments. I've been negligent in getting back to this group. We very much play the psychological roll in marketing. Everything from our name to our radio advertising is designed to be memorable. Over the summer, time to work on the social media accounts plummeted, but we are back at it more actively as tourism has wound down. Our restaurant is the Smothered Goose in International Falls. https://www.facebook.com/SmotheredGoose/ https://www.smothered-goose.com/ We are seeing growth. We've only been open a little over a year now. I would like to see it a little faster, but I think we are on the right track. The new challenge we are facing is the building. The owners are not in real estate and want us to purchase the building. It is in need of some major work so we are trying to find what it is going to cost us to get the building up to spec and negotiate the price accordingly. As for our radio advertising, two of the DJs do a what's going on at local businesses each week. I give them very descriptive read that lends to some memorable antics from them. We created a burger called Pappy's Pickle Tickle burger just to get them to say that on the radio. We also are doing a radio show with one of the hosts where we talk about food in general and bring it back in to the restaurant. It's informative and I provide recipes for people. It encourages active listening rather than just hearing a commercial. We've gotten great feedback from people on that one. @Gina Massack , I'd love to talk more about your experience and ideas.
