I hunted with a compound throughout the 1980s. During the late 80s I started to notice mor technology being put into compounds, so much so that they were becoming less forgiving. They were becoming more like target bows. Unfortunately a hunting situation is less than perfect for shooting a less forgiving bow. Traditional Bowhunter magazine came out in β89 and that pretty much did it for me. Once I got confident in my shooting a year or two later, I never touched a compound again.
Iβm 56 years old and have been involved in archery for over 45 years, bowhunting for 42 years and bowhunting with traditional gear for over 36 years.
