Slowing down on your “long run” days makes Serious Endurance Gains
Heyy SOULRNRs!! Here is an overhead view/guide of what your weekly progressive endurance training should look like over the 12 weeks leading up to HYROX DALLAS!! It’s our goal to train our endurance for a confident 10k- ensuring the 1000m run block in between the functional moves are solid ! ✨📸 screenshot✨ I also sent this to your email Notice the “non run days or “strength specific days” are those days we do our strength and muscle conditioning + mastering HYROX skills… some days are a mix of both! RPE 1 out of 10 = your rate of perceived exertion/intensity! Lmk if you need more clarity here ! 👉🏼 You will get a separate 12 week calendar that will outline our runs AND HYROX Training combination ! I just wanted to get you this guide now to understand how we’re putting the two together ! Keep a look out 👀

Looooove a calendar with a plan!
Week 1 Day 0
TOMORROW we OFFICIALLY BEGIN WEEK 1 OF 12 🥳🥳 We’re starting with a simple time trial run. This will help us track your progress over the coming weeks and determine your pacing for future run sessions throughout the program. The goal for DAY 1 is to complete the distance in the quickest time possible. Be sure to time yourself and record both your total time and your average pace per kilometer. (Comment yours below!) You can perform this run on a track, outside on roads or paths if they’re clear enough, or on a treadmill if you prefer. 👉🏼 5km (3.1 miles) time trial run Remember to warm up (dynamics) before you start and cool down (static stretching) after you finish. LGOO 🙌🏼

Whew waiting too long to get that in. Beautiful weather but I’m a morning person so it was a push to get going. Haven’t done any running in a bit so it’s good to have a starting point. Total time=33.24 for 3.2miles. Pace was 10:35/mile. I’ll have to adjust my metrics or track in a treadmill my pace per km. This morning I did a mile on the treadmill at 8:45 which is pretty good for me.
