Music Engineer Versus
If you have the drive and are willing to learn mixing & mastering yourself, would you do it until you get to a point where you can hire an expert? Or would you build a team with a beginner music engineer, knowing your own mixes & masters would be just as good if not better.

@Traneice Washington interesting take. Is the beginner a bit better than you at mixing/mastering in this scenario? Also, when you say "tracking", do you mean just recording unmixed vocals?

When to Build
It is recommended that you build a team. When is a good time to build? I like the advice and I've seen some great examples after they have popped, but practically, how early did you start to build your team?

1st Addition to the Team
Hey everyone, I started my own label. Just me and my wife as right now lol, but it's a start on the right track. I want to start a team. As an artist to roll music out faster, I was thinking of a music engineer first. As a marketer, I was thinking of a social media specialist. What do you all think?

@Datskandy Yls no problem. I'm sure there are songs that could have been mixed better, but were released by the artist anyway. What are thoughts on some artists marketing not so good songs, but listeners still enjoying and consuming the songs?
