This Course on Affirmative Prayer has significantly changed how I pray. I once even asked, “If God did not create this world I see, then why is prayer so important? ACIM has taught me A LOT about the world I see, and this course has taught me how to change the way I pray. NOW, I know why prayer is so important, AND how to see the world God did create. Thank you both, Mark and Aaron.
What is your morning routine?
I am curious how you like to start your day in a way that brings peace and calm. I find ego likes to try and create anxiety after I wake up and I would like to start with more calm and positivity to kick-start my day before I leave for work on weekdays. Do you like to start with meditation, if so please share any of your favorites. Do you start with positive affirmations or mantras? What does your routine look like?

@Corey J. My morning starts with pranayama breath work for about 10 minutes followed by 30-50 minutes of I Am meditation (time depends on my schedule). Then I go into my study and have a ritual of FORGIVENESS statements and 68 seconds of being in the Zero Resistance Zone (Mark Lord). Next, I have a conversational journal entry where I am talking with the Holy Spirt. By this time the ACIM watch party addressing the lesson for the day is about to start. I’ll zoom with the LTC family. Prior to retiring for the evening I spend another 20-30 minutes in meditation Yea, I am fully retired 😉

@Kate Paone Kate, I participated in sessions lead by Mark. You may find it very helpful to join his weekly FORGIVENESS sessions. They are on Wednesday’s at 11:00am EST. I also find Ho’ oponopono very helpful: I am sorry. (For whatever jusgments and perceptions are in me that created this situation). Please FORGIVE me. (For my being unconscious to my own thought process). Thank you. (To the Divine for erasing this program from my being). I Love You. (I am returning to Source/Divinity and wiping my inner self clean).
Have a blessed and beautiful day!

Back at you, Wendy!!! I’m guessing Year 1 was a green ski run and Year 2 promises to be a blue run for sure 😍 🙏🏼🕊️🌟❤️‍🔥
Guidance for connecting to Holy Spirit
From birth until the age of 23 I was raised in a very strict religion. It required a great deal of prayer, I remember intuitively feeling as young as 6 that my prayers were not connecting to the higher power I was constantly being told to pray to. Now it's more than 2 decades later. I have been doing a great deal of ACIM study. It is resonating with me unlike anything I have experienced. One area I am struggling with is communication to Holy Spirit as it brings back negative memories of my religious past. What is the framework for the communication, is it done formally like a prayer, do you specifically refer to Holy Spirit or do you some people call it something else... Do you conclude formally like with an Amen? Or is it done more casually than with dogmatic religion? Perhaps someone can provide an example. I hope this query for explanation makes sense...

Prayer: I once asked Aaron and Jon Munday, “Why pray, if God does not even know we exist?” After a year of LTC, I have come to the point where I pray throughout the day. Offering everything I do as a prayer of gratitude and thanksgiving. The ACIM text has a daily prayer in Part II, Lessons 221-365. Each prayer is as beautiful as the next. For me, the most meaningful prayers come from my Sacred Heart ❤️‍🔥 and are prayers of devotion to God and gratitude for His many gifts. Sometimes, there are no words, just emotions of joy, peace and love. As an aside, I too had a strict Catholic upbringing and most times prayer was used to plead to be forgiven for all my sins. I was taught without that forgiveness, I was not worthy to “receive Jesus in communion.” With deep gratitude, I have overcome that particular mountain of guilt. Corey, may you find your way back to God through prayer.

I am in both LTC and 4DU. I completely enjoy the guidance received through these communities to place LOVE for GOD in the forefront of my daily life.
