Respect For people
What does respect for people look like? Sometimes I think we get this wrong. For Toyota this is one of two pillars: Respect for people and Continuous improvement. Without it our style of lean will be unstable on a single pillar. What does respect for people look like to you in your company?

- Avoid engaging during non-business hours: Schedule emails instead of sending them immediately, and refrain from messaging after hours. - Honor days off: Respect that days off are truly off days, with no work interruptions. - Encourage taking time off: It's perfectly okay for team members to take weeks off, as the group or enterprise will handle the workload in their absence.
