Looking for comments. Age is setting in!
Currently using Titleist 716 AP1 irons / stiff shaft and I'm inconsistent hitting them. Age is setting in and my swing speed is down. Recently swapped out my driver for a Ping G430 with a light regular flex shaft and I'm hitting it well. I've set up a fitting with the Ping guys to see what's up with their irons with an eye on a lighter shaft. I'm looking for feedback. Any insights are appreciated. Thx! Gene

Adding to Ryan's comment above, PING does a fantastic job of allowing players to try many shaft and head combinations during fittings to find what gives you the most optimal performance. I'd also add to try *everything* at your fitting, as you never know what piece of equipment will help take your game to the next level!
Golf ball construction
Being a beginner golfer, should I be using a 2 piece or higher piece number golf ball construction?

Hello Jim! With 2 piece golf balls comes the lowest, most affordable price point, but *generally* the least responsive feeling through impact and/or the least spin generation. If you're losing more than 1-2 golf balls per round, using the more affordable 2 piece golf balls is a great choice.
New driver
Looking for a new driver. Something I can just walk up to the tee and hit. Not looking to break the bank 500-600 price range. Any advice thoughts. Oh and yes I will be getting fitted for this one.

The PING G430, G430 MAX, or G425 MAX are damn-near unbeatable. Unsure if the newest models will fit that price range but it's truly the easiest driver I've ever used in the last 15 years.
More distance
I'm looking to gain elevation and distance on my drives.

Hello Mike, when I'm wanting to hit higher drives, I put the ball further forward in my stance closer to the inside of my leading heel, tee the ball up incrementally higher to encourage higher on the club face contact (for higher natural trajectory), and I swing harder!
