Hot Take: AI is too agreeable.
Sometimes you need it to be more contrarian I often have a conversation with nonprofit leaders that goes something like this
Can AI do this....Yes
Can AI do that....Yes
Can AI do ....Yes
Basically AI will "Try" to do anything you ask.
But the key word is 𝘁𝗿𝘆Every time we make a request, it tries to fulfill it (unless it is wildly unethical)
But here’s the thing… Just because AI says yes, doesn’t mean that it’s always right
It’s one thing to get an answer, and a whole other thing to trust that answer.
The real magic happens when we, as humans, add that extra layer of critical thinking.
We get to ask:
Is this good?
Is it accurate?
Is this useful?
That’s where our role really comes into play.
At the end of the day, AI might be the “say yes machine,” but we’re the ones who decide what’s next.
Beware of trusting everything coming out of AI.
It can be a slippery slope to losing your ability to critical think for yourself
Remember that YOU are the final judge of what AI produces
