POLL: How much should a good book cover cost? I know a lot of authors who struggle with their book covers. They overthink about how much they should cost and also have trouble finding an honest designer to work with online. I fee like this should be a solvable problem if: 1. Authors have the right expectations about what a good cover will cost. 1. There is a verified list of trusted designers that authors can choose from. Personally, I think that a lot of authors overthink their cover design. Sure, a good cover is important, but it's not the MAKE-OR-BREAK-thing that so many authors think that it is. A "good enough" cover is better than no cover (or getting ripped off for hundreds or thousands of dollars). So, I've invited some designers into this group. Let's see if we can find a way to connect authors with cover designers in a way that benefits everyone and prevents scams! Step 1, let me know how much you think a good cover should cost below.
