A Few Tips.....
You’re working on an animation project ? How can you make your Animation stand out?
Well here we'll talk about what you need to know first, what animation Principles you should apply, and how to grow your YouTube Channel
Based on what I use to start my channel kinda.....
Also this post is never the answer to your success is just a Stepping stone for your success : )
Alright let's goooooo!
1.Before you start animating, you need to have a clear vision of what style you want to achieve. In this case its Countryballs but to be exact which kind?
There are plenty to choose from :
whether your a meme kind of countryball animator, or you just wanna be a History Countryball animator. Either way the best way to know is finding your Niche or stuff you like the most.
for example:
You like Memes and Countryball.
Well why don't you Combine them both and make funny Countryball Animations like Ottoman but it's Sr pelo stuff like that.
2. Learn the Principles of Animations( I'm not gonna discuss them all instead im gonna put some of them that I think is important)
Great! now you know what style you wanna make. Next you wanna know how to Animate that style but how?No Worries well discuss that one by one in the form of the "PRINCIPLES OF ANIMATIONS"
• Squash & stretch
Why squash and stretch matters?
Squash and stretch is not just a visual trick to make your animation more dynamic and appealing.
It also helps to convey the weight, elasticity, and momentum of your animated elements.
By applying squash and stretch, you can create a sense of anticipation, exaggeration, and expression in your animation.
To apply squash and stretch effectively, you need to follow some basic rules and guidelines. First, you need to respect the conservation of mass and volume.
This means that when you squash or stretch an element, you should not change its overall size or shape too much.
Otherwise, it will look unnatural and inconsistent. Second, you need to adjust the degree of squash and stretch according to the speed and force of the movement.
The faster and stronger the movement, the more squash and stretch you can apply.
Third, you need to consider the material and personality of the element.
Different materials have different levels of flexibility and resistance.
For example, a rubber ball can squash and stretch more than a metal ball.
Similarly, different characters have different emotions and attitudes. For example, a happy character can squash and stretch more than a sad character.
• Staging
Staging is how you go about setting up your scene, from the placement of the characters, to the background and foreground elements, the character’s mood, and how the camera angle is set up.
Staging is used to make the purpose of the animation unmistakably clear to the viewer focus on what you want to communicate to the audience (and avoid unnecessary detail) so they don’t become confused.
There are 3 parts of Staging (in my Opinion)
Where You Place Your Subject or Characters
How You Pose Your Subject and Characters
How You Time the Action.
• Easing
Nothing moves in a linear fashion. As an object moves, it accelerates and decelerates, also called easing.
In animation, you’ll have more frames of an object condensed in a smaller area at the beginning and end of the movement.
By looking at the example above, you can see how unnatural linear movement is.
The way an object is eased can convey different feelings, but a standard curve is what normal movement generally looks like.
Generally you just put more Frames close together in the Beginning and end then add some Drawings Father apart in the Middle.
• Anticipation
Anticipation is basically the action before the main action.
Without it ,the proceeding motion wouldn’t feel natural or believable.
Anticipation is definitely one of the hardest fundamentals to get right.
Some animators don’t put in enough anticipation and others make it a bit too dramatic.
Smoothing out this animation is going to take some time, but you’ll instantly recognize when you get it right.
It’s all about timing.
So, if you tweak one area, another will need fixing. You have to blend the animation as best you can.
3. Great now you've attained some Animation Principle knowledge
Next you need to share you work to the World in form of YouTube
Which begs the Question how do you Grow a YouTube channel?
Well to be honest this advice is not answer to grow your channel but I'll still the say Tip anyways soo....
• Quality beat Quantity?
This is true But there's one thing you need to consider:
Quality comes From Quantity because the more Videos you post the more Practice you get at animating and the more things you can test.
So my advice Post more Frequently I recommend you to upload 2- 3 vids Monthly or more if you want
• Learn from others?
Ok here's a Quick Question
Who is your favorite YouTuber and Why you like Them?
Now think about it, what noteworthy characteristics and factors you would say to describe your favorite YouTuber and Explain why you like them more than anyone else in YouTube chances are your gonna put up a few Key Factors that springs to your mind, now let's shift this to your channel what are the Key factors that make others Watch your video?
Anyways now just like your Fav YouTuber you need to establish Unique, appealing x factors
Your X factors needs to be Unique and Authentic to you : )
• Understanding the Algorithm?
understanding the YouTube algorithm is important, but the best way to understand it is to stop thinking about it this way:
YouTube Algorithm = Growth
Instead, think about it this way:
YouTube Audience = Growth
Since the Algorithm is chasing the Audience, then you should too
If you want to win on YouTube
Optimize for people not Robots
This will be the key to your success in YouTube. Make content that people want to Watch
In fact it will be helpful if, from from this point forward you forget about the Algorithm
Remember: your Viewers ultimately determine how your videos will Grow
• Love your work
Focus on starting & loving your Content. Rather than worrying about the Views, Subs, & Fame
To be successful the first thing to do is to fall in love with your work, if you love your work, if you enjoy it. You're already a Success.
"Because the only way to do great work is to love what you do"
I know it's complicated but frankly nobody said this will be easy, well some will do if your a content Farmer.
Anyways behind every successful channel you'll see countless Failures and attempts to become successful
But keep this in mind your time will come(not the Death kind the YouTube kind) your time of Success will come someday you just need the Patience and Determination to Claim it
And remember to Never give up, no matter what happens just keep moving forward
Don't be like me who throw away 3 years worth of potential just becuz of one judgement and Failure
