Facebook Ads Set Test - Flay Lays ABO
Hey everyone, just rolled out a new ad set. I'm throwing $60 a day at three different ad sets ($180), testing out some flatlays. Super grateful for Matt’s advice in our recorded call yesterday. Curious to see which one hits. I’ll share how it all goes down. Go check out the classroom! More nuggets in our recording from yesterday.

Facebook Ads Set Test - Flay Lays ABO
Running Meta Ads. Are you interested? My results today.
Happy Friday all! Some of you in this group may not yet be familiar with the ins and outs of Facebook ads. If that's you, please comment below on if you are interested in learning more about that. (Leaving a comment below will complete the "COMPLETE ACTION" on this post). 🙏 Looking at my FB ads today... Filtering by active ads in my account right now on facebook here are the results I'm looking at. The top ad is a catalog ad I always run. So I am looking to beat that ad. I have turned off a lot of ads not showing in the screenshot. Hoping to continue to get more good results. Learning that video ads need their own testing ad set as they don't really get spend in ad sets that have image ads. BUT in my new video ad sets the videos are starting to show results too so that's exciting. I also noticed that sometimes Advantage plus audiences win and sometimes legacy broad audiences win.

Video Testing with Canva
Just dropped a quick Canva experiment into our ad mix! Playing around with moving backgrounds behind flat lays to see if the motion grabs more attention in the feed. Will be testing this alongside our standard images to see what vibes best. Thought this could be a neat way to shake things up, especially while waiting on new products to arrive at my shop. Keeping it simple but hoping for some solid results. Check out the vid for a look at the process and the kind of tweaks I’m testing out.

Types of Ad Creatives that are working for us right now:
Hey there! I wanted to jump on and share some insights about what's been happening with our creatives on Facebook/Meta lately. Taking a look at our Meta ad account for the past seven days, we've been experimenting with some new drops. While the return on ad spend numbers can be misleading, I've noticed a trend worth mentioning. Interestingly, we've found that flat lays tend to perform significantly better than lifestyle images in our ads. It's unfortunate because we have an amazing community that submits incredible lifestyle pictures, but they just don't seem to resonate as well with our audience. We're not exactly sure if it's due to Facebook's algorithm or how it interprets images, but time and time again, flat lays come out on top. Even though we have thousands of high-quality lifestyle images, the metrics consistently show that simple flat lays drive better results – lower CPMs, higher click-through rates, you name it. We also see good results with hanger shots, so we often mix things up between flat lays and hanger displays to keep things engaging. Of course, every industry might have different trends, so it's crucial to experiment and see what works best for your niche. I'd love to hear what's been working for you all and what industry you're in. It's always valuable to cross-reference and learn from each other's experiences. Stay tuned for more quick insights like this, and have a great day! - matt
