The seeds you're sewing have value
You're not always going to feel like taking the steps to get closer to your goals. You're not always going to feel like you care. You're not always going to feel a sense of overwhelming warmth and happiness rush over you when your friends and family members tell you that you're doing a good job.
But what is a constant absolute truth is that the seeds you are actively sewing in order to reap a harvest someday, and therein reach your goals, have value. Don't forget the value of your actions. Just keep sewing and in due time you WILL reap a harvest.
