Fighting Success
Why team members fight success Many team members fight success every step of the way. And why do they fight success? Because success requires change. And we all hate change! Think about it. We have knowledge and habits now that give us our present results. To get new results, we have to learn new skills. These new skills are unfamiliar to us, things we don’t know now, and they will require change. Remember, we hate change. So team members insist on keeping their same knowledge, habits and skills, and hope their results will be different. Someone once said that is the definition of insanity. Now here is something uncomfortable. After reading this, we too have a decision to make. 1. We could choose to change and learn new skills. 2. Or, we could smile, think learning new things is a good point, go back to surfing the Internet, watching television, and doing the same things we are now … and stay frustrated that our business isn’t growing. Remember, it is the things that we don’t know yet, the things that we think are bizarre or unbelievable, that have the best chance of giving us the results we want. This is a tip by Tom "Big Al" Schreiter, my networking skills mentor, who will be in Houston on November 26th at 7:00 PM (location tba) to conduct a training session. Put it on your calendar!

Look what I found on the Interwebs haha
I was doing some work on YouTube and came across this. Our very own @Gail Stolzenburg invited me to a Marshall Sylver event 9 years ago and I got to do some fire eating. Fun stuff!

Using emotion in talks
Using emotion while giving introductions or talks embraces connection, impact and memorability. Emotional stories or expressions resonate with audiences, making the message feel personal and relatable. Emotions also activate listener's empathy and focus, helping them to retain information and feel motivated to act and making your message more persuasive and inspiring. Include emotion with your next talk and see the difference. Be sure to watch Business Success Academy F.I.R.E (Friday, Inspire, Review, Excel) on Zoom at 11:30 AM tomorrow.
