Symmetric and Asymmetric Encryption - Mnemonic

Here is a short "crib" note on encryption. One thing to note is the last row, while not perfect, if you are asked about "S"ymmetric or "A"symmetric encryption.

Symmetric

RC4, AES, DES, 3DES, and QUAD. <-- Most end in "S"

Asymmetric

RSA, Diffie-Hellman, ECC, El Gamal, and DSA. <- Some end in "A",

if you add the ones with longer names that contain "A" (Diffie-HellmAn, and El GAmAl) Then you will know the others that are Asymmetric

I hope this makes sense.
