Better close focus distance for anamorphic lenses
Haven’t posted in a while as I’m preparing for a bigger shoot. But I found myself needing to be able to take close-up shots in this next shoot with my Viltrox Epic lenses but the close focus distance is not optimal as with any anamorphic lenses. So I got a set of diopters from Viltrox. They’re not cheap but as I’m starting a gear rental business I don’t mind investing in this sort of thing. Plus I’ll be using them often.

Here's some BTS of setting up for filming in a car
Enjoyed setting this up but it wasn't without challenges. Here's what I learned setting up for a podcast in the car for the first time: 1. IBIS is not enough, should enable active stabilization in the FX3s (got really soft suspensions on my car but still not enough) 2. Have a proper back-up plan for audio (the sennheiser ew-dp system glitched and the backup wasn't optimal) 3. Tighten things properly, the back camera drifted during the ride 4. Consider front cameras placement as they were showing up on the back wide shot

My rig for shooting B-Roll solo
Recently I had to shoot B-Roll in Mexico City on my own for a master class project. I had to take an extensive list of shots both static and moving in a short amount of time. So I rigged my gimbal on a monopod and here’s a walkthrough the entire setup. PS. The video is lengthy but there are chapters if you want to skip through stuff.

Production cart suggestions? 🛒
I need to get a production cart and was wondering if you have experience with various brands and what you'd recommend that's not super expensive. I need a large and sturdy one and have been eyeballing the Adicam Max+. Damien Cooper made a good video about it but wondering if anyone had used it here.

Budget DSLR Camera Options?
Hey Everyone! Thinking of getting a 2nd hand DSLR Camera for home content creation. My wife runs a TikTok channel about 3D printing, and I could use it for some small shoots around town. My budget is small. Like $250 small, happy to go second hand, but not sure what to look out for? 4K 60fps is a must. Not too worried about audio quality. I'll record that separately with my mics Thanks everyone. Have a lekker weekend!
