At what stage would you hire a copywriter for your emails?

I had someone approach me who is quite good, understands my niche and is willing to work based on commission. However email writing feels like a light lift compared to most other aspects of my business. It’s also my only real traffic source at this point so commission from here could equate to a large chunk of my revenue.

What is a fair commission here? And is it worth it?

I think I just need to test it out but any insights would be appreciated! 🙏
