"what is your current salary" interview question

Hey, I was coming to the monthly call but now I can't make it.

My biggest question from my current job search is how to handle the "what is your current salary" question?

It came up again today and I don't know what the impact of it might be in terms of putting a limit on the salary they would offer me?

Should I be honest?

Is the question even legal?

Can it be checked?

Anyone got any advice on this?
