Hello everybody! I recently got to enjoy a very nice dopamine high due to one of my leads becoming a paying client ๐ค
As I mentioned in one of the accountability posts (and during one of the Thursday masterminds), I had my first ever paid speaking gig on May 18, 2024. Within about a week, one of the attendees reached out to me via email to let me know that she's interested in my service. She also mentioned how she was grateful she got to hear me speak because she otherwise would have never known I existed ๐
After a consultation call and a few days of negotiations, we finally came to an agreement on the payment and terms of the project. I took a screenshot of the payment via PayPal as a reminder of how much my time and expertise are valued. It's always an amazing feeling when I get email notifications of the contract getting signed and initial invoice getting paid ๐
Here's the moral of the story: always be putting yourself out there. If I would have never agreed to this speaking gig (whether or not it was paid), I would have never landed this new client project. As you determine the lead generation strategy that's right for you, just remember that it pays to consistently put yourself out there.
