Ask. That’s it. If you’re just getting started and need to build a portfolio, want that next opportunity or need a new editor for your team, start with asking.

While this might sound ridiculous, it’s true. Sometimes our biggest steps start with the most simple of tasks and trials.

When I started with video the first big “famous” person I worked with I simply sent them a message asking to be their video editor.

A year later I had traveled the world with this person and met lots of other big named people and that was the start of my portfolio that has helped changed my life.
