What’s up y’all,
One of the most common limiting beliefs I hear is, “I don’t think I can realistically make $5k+ per month as an editor.”
First off, let’s break down what a limiting belief is.
It’s simply a false idea we tell ourselves that keeps us from reaching our potential.
The problem with this belief is it stops you from even trying, which means you’re holding yourself back from something that’s actually very achievable.
Another problem is this belief is usually developed as a result of your experiences proving your belief right, however, your experiences are flawed because you’re more than likely doing things wrong.
So here’s how to overcome this belief…
Instead of saying, “I can’t,” start asking, “How can I?”
When you open yourself up to the possibility, you’ll start seeing ways to make it happen.
The editors making $5K+ per month didn’t get there by waiting for opportunities.
They built their skills, reached out to potential clients, made great offers, and figured out ways to get clients to come to them (organic content).
You can follow the same path.
The reality is $5K+/month is 100% achievable
Now, let’s get real about the numbers.
Here’s how simple the math is:
1 Client ($5000) = $5000 🎉
2 Clients ($2500/each) = $5000 🎉
3 Clients ($1700/each) = $5100 🎉
4 Clients ($1250/each) = $5000 🎉
Now I wouldn’t recommend picking up more than 3 clients by yourself but as you can see this is more than do-able.
When you break it down, it’s not about needing a bunch of clients or working insane hours.
It’s about finding a few clients who value your work and are willing to invest.
The opportunity is there, the creator economy is ONLY increasing—you just need to believe you can do it and take action to make it happen.
You’ve got the skills, so don’t let limiting beliefs hold you back from what’s possible.
Love y’all,
Norman
