How was your Mother's Day??
If you are a florist you were likely busy on the days leading up to Sunday.
Did you sell arrangements? Wrapped bouquets? What did you think of the flowers available to you during the last week? 馃拹
The truth is, florists are at the mercy of the international supply chain. Farms push blooms early, cut stems early, pack the product quickly and rush it out on planes and trucks. When flowers get to you through the wholesale supply chain, it's very likely they have been crammed in dry storage for a week or more. The flowers are weak and dehydrated.
It is very common for flowers to be subpar on a holiday. If that wasn't the case for you and you got to sell and create with awesome, healthy, hearty blooms - CONGRATS! You were lucky 馃槉
