Hey 👋, I'm born and raised in South Africa where I made one of the most difficult and most rewarding decisions of my life. I worked at KPMG as an IT audit manager, had a custom furniture factory and worked in a family hardware/builders store (that didn't go so well) before finding an opportunity to learn and implement marketing strategies online. I made barely enough money from Upwork clients to feed, shelter, support myself, wife and two kids (from a previous marriage). Then, as fate would have it, I read The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris. Inspired by his adventures in SE Asia, I found a way to move to Thailand to pursue a digital nomad/online business lifestyle. It was time to decide if it was time to live and pursue my dreams. Or stay and fade further into a life that didn't matter. But, I knew, I wanted more from life. I always had this deep need to do something important,. But had no idea what I needed to do. I've been in Bangkok, Thailand for the past 9 years and can say that I have transformed as a person because of that decision. Worked with over 200 influencers, book authors and creators online. I learned everything I know about digital marketing from experimenting in the real world. I've taken pointers from books, clients and courses I've taken over the years. But it's been a lonely journey. Living in hostels and cheap hotels to survive. Working long nights to serve US clients. And not having friends who understand the struggles of building a business online. I searched and paid to join communities to find 'my people'. Some were great. Others were way too expensive and not worth the cost. But I found true friendship in some groups and learned a lot. So I figured, why not create a community of my own? Where I can share my experiences in marketing funnels, advertising, sales and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). To create an environment of collaboration, friendship and belonging. That's why I created this group!
