Why Guitar?

Hi all. I’m always interested in other folks story and inspiration and motivation. So my question to everyone is why did you pick up a guitar? What inspired you to say - “I want to do this…”

For me, though I’ve always loved music, what inspired me to try my hand at the six-string was binge watching the Beatles documentary ‘Get Back.’ Just watching the creative process of random chords being crafted into chord progressions and eventually phenomenal songs had me in awe. I remember thinking - ‘man, I wish I could do that.’ Then I thought, why not? While I’ll never have Fab-4 success, I can certainly get some personal enjoyment. Shortly after that I signed up for music lessons at a local music store, bought a mahogany 000-Bristol guitar, and started building calluses while trying to keep time.
