7 steps to launch a copywriting career
Patrice went from $0 - $10k/month by copywriting in a short space of time. here’s her 7 steps if she were to start from scratch: 1️⃣ STUDY COPY - subscribe to good newsletters and use “swiped.co” and read ad’s, emails and sales pages daily. 2️⃣ WRITE COPY. - compress and re-write what you’re consuming from your own perspective. - add to your copy portfolio to show potential clients. 3️⃣ ACCOUNTS. - paypal./stripe./systeme.io/canva pro./zoom. 4️⃣ NETWORK. - attend local entrepreneur events, free community calls and pay for a course to be in proximity. - build relationships with good questions and learning. reach out when the time is write, sorry right. 5️⃣ REACH OUT. - contact your connections. personalise it to them and their business, be curious, no pitching. - ask "do you know anyone that could use copywriting services?". it's indirect and not a pitch. 6️⃣ CALLS. - get on calls to discover their problems and goals. - if offers are prepared for what they need, pitch it or - gather the information and craft one to pitch on the next call. 7️⃣ REFERRALS. - give value to the larger entrepreneurs that can give you access to more clients. - add value by helping with events, free emails/posts/courses/coaching. - build good will and ask for referrals when the trust is already there.

I analyzed 10 worst copy 🤖 They all had ONE thing in common 👇 Multi-tasking copy. Remember how unproductive and frustrated you were when you last tried multi-tasking 🥴 That’s because your 🧠 isn’t wired for it. The same goes for your copy—if it’s focusing on multiple things at once—it will frustrate and confuse readers. Additionally, it destroys a safe selling environment which is essential for conversions 💸 That’s why every single line of your copy has to focus on ONE single message. Here’s the rule 1-1-1 that will keep your copy linear; Explore → 1 problem. Share → 1 solution. Sell → 1 thing. The core idea of high-converting copy is to convey ONE single message throughout. Drop them=more impactful copy
I’m guilty of overusing them And I know you might be doing this too🫵🏻 Nope! I’m not talking about AI—But filler words. Most of the time, you can drop them and it won't change the actual meaning of your message. Here are the 10 most commonly overused filler words; →THAT: I said (that) I would go for a walk. →JUST: I (just) need to sleep. →VERY: You are (very) popular Ritik 🤪 →QUITE: The match was (quite) exciting. →REALLY: I (really) appreciate your help. →RATHER: The vibe is (rather) weird. →ACTUALLY: (Actually) your newsletter is amazing. →BASICALLY: She’s (basically) saying we need to hurry up. →DEFINITELY: He’s (definitely) the right person for the job. →ABSOLUTELY: (Absolutely) I’ll help you. So, the next time you see them, delete them immediately to make your COPY much more impactful ✊🏻 P.S. What words do you overuse? For me, it was "THAT."
