Every night, as I tuck my daughter into bed, I pick her up and rock her in my arms as we sing, "He's got the whole world in his hands". This nighttime routine has turned into a beautiful worship experience as we personalize the song with the names of our loved ones. It has turned from "HE'S" got the whole world in his hands to "YOU" - ...
Our mighty everlasting all powerful, all knowing Father... a simple children's song becomes an opportunity to surrender and praise as we trust that He has us in the palm of his hand. He will protect us and provide for us.
"He has the wind and the rain in His hands" and will "rescue those who call on His name". He is our safe haven. He will cover us under his wings and make a hedge of protection around our homes and loved ones when we pray His word daily. (Psalm 91). He will be with us in the midst of the storm. He is the same God who parts the waters and makes a way in the wilderness. He knows His children (called us before we were born!) and will provide for every need. Oh, how He loves us!!
He knows the very number of hairs your head, precious daughter. He knows your every thought and deepest desire. He loves you dearly and has great plans for you.
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.
James 4:8 NIV
He is proving time and time again that we can fully trust in Him and bring all of our cares to Him, who cares for us. He is with us every step of the way and has already made the way.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
