Introduce yourself...
I'm Coach Mike Farley and the admin of this site, as well as the guy who runs summer kicking camps in the Midwest to help you become your school's Friday Night Kicker or Punter. I played 3-sports in high school (football, basketball, baseball) and 2-sports in college (football, baseball) at the D3 level. I got signed to a pro contract with the Green Bay Packers (back when dinosaurs ruled the earth)! I've got a unique background being the starting kicker, punter AND quarterback in college. I had a lot of fun and have been sharing what I've learned with young specialists ever since.

NFL 50+ rate
Heard a statistic today on the Scott Van Pelt podcast that blew me away … through 2 weeks, NFL kickers are 35 of 39 (89.7%) from 50 yards or more. Even more amazing is that future HoFer Justin Tucker is 0 for 2, so the rest of the league is 35 of 37. Why is this? Good weather in the early season for sure. I think operations have gotten more clean. And these dudes are just so good with consistent, clean ball contact (which is what really ended Anders Carlson’s time in GB.) Any other thoughts on this incredible success rate?

Let's keep growing...
I'm pleased with the start of this group. We're increasing our membership and increasing the participation of our members. I've been trying to post something new every single day so that there's always new content to check out. Some of you are beginning to get the hang of it, too — and your posts have been excellent. I have had to "cut" a couple of people because they obviously weren't interested in ADDING to the group, just wanting to sell something schlocky to you. Since you're not in that crowd — THANK YOU! Keep up the good work! Just trying to be transparent and let you know that you are the founding members of something that is going to be very special. ...and, as the alien Mathesar said to Teb in Galaxy Quest, "On, Teb, On!" 🤣
