Bit of a late post because I woke up late today😅, nonetheless enjoy today’s devotional!

Friendship is a cherished bond that not only enriches our lives but also reflects the love and community that God desires for us. The Bible offers profound wisdom on the qualities of true friendship. One of my goals for this community is to help people find God and grow closer to him, and having a community of like minded individuals is a great way to do so!

Proverbs 17:17 states, "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." This verse highlights the steadfast nature of true friendship. A good friend shows unconditional love and is present through both the highs and lows of life. Their companionship is a constant, much like a sibling's, especially in times of challenge.

In Proverbs 27:17, we find, "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." Good friends challenge and encourage us to grow. They are not afraid to speak truth that leads to self-improvement, and through mutual support, both friends are strengthened and refined.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 offers further insight: "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." These verses remind us that friends are invaluable companions in life's journey. They help us in our endeavors and are there to support us when we stumble, emphasizing the importance of companionship and mutual aid.

In the spirit of these Scriptures, let us seek to be good friends who love unconditionally, sharpen each other's character, and offer unwavering support. By embodying these biblical principles, we not only bless others but also honor God through our friendships.
