How I build my about page photos with Google doc
6 hours later, my first About page is born
Before I started this I only knew Google Docs and screenshots so you can do it too!
This is everything I went through to build it
⚫ Icon Photo
[Twemoji + screenshot + Google doc + more screenshot]
  • Twemoji => it is copywriting-free
  • Screenshot (command+shift+4) (use the cursor to frame shots)
  • Google Doc => insert against the white page to screenshot for more white space
⚫ Cover Photo
[Google Doc + screenshot]
  • Free-floating image => insert image > right click > image options > text wrap (if can't find option, go to File > page setup > set on pages then recheck) > behind text
  • Water mark style => image options> Opacity > 9%, brightness 5%, Contrast 10%
  • Quote => 9th grade mandatory reading (my favorite quote)
⚫ VSL (don't know if I can call it that)
[old IG post + snapinst.app + veed.io + youtube]
  • Old IG post => I like that post and am still scared to be on camera
  • snapinst.app => download IG past (brought to you by Google search and YouTube tutorial)
  • veed.io => Turn the verticle video to landscape and add words on the side (YouTube tutorial)
  • veed.io background => [Google doc + screenshot]
  • Youtube => Host the video to post link
⚫ All other photos
[Google doc + screenshot + Google search]
  • Google doc + screenshot => my lack of Photoshop skills
  • Google search => Wooly Mammoth joke lol
If this hits 30 likes I'll screen record a speed run version from start to finish.
(I should be able to do this within an hour from start to finish)
