What's up everyone? It's been a while since I've been on here as life has been crazy. Which brings me to my request.
I recently worked on a film as a first time music supervisor back in 2022. The film ended going to Tubi and the director told me that he would pay me so I eventually sent over an invoice for all or the work that I did for the film and he agreed with the terms. The problem is that this being my first time doing this (amongst other things I was dealing with in life) I didn't really have the best knowledge at hand to understand the legalities of the whole situation.
Long story short, I never got paid, nor did the artists that I found music for the film. I reached out to the director several times but never anything from it. It was a huge learning lesson for me I know now and I wanted to know if there is anything I can do from a legal standpoint to get the director (or someone) to pay what they owe?
