Does anyone here us Descript? If so have you had issues with garbled recordings?

I know StreamYard is your preferred choice @Eric Howell and @Jenna Ostrye but with all these subscriptions I need for all this other stuff (not podcasts) I am struggling to add another. I do need the ability to local record for when my daughter joins me on the podcast, however, since I am not interviewing at this point and she will only join me about twice a month right now, is there another cheaper option that anyone knows of? Any input is appreciated.

This might be a silly question but in Descript how do you turn down the music audio? I've used other softwares so I'm thinking it would be the same but it's not. I'm talking through an episode and have the music behind but of course, the music is too loud. Any help appreciated!
