I've started getting lots of cold DMs (which I love because that's how I got my first 100ish clients)
Some good, some not so good.
A few times now, when I tell them I'm not interested in the service because it's something I've done before (ads, IG growth, email, websites, etc)...
They'll tell me how I'm being 'arrogant' and 'keeping myself from scaling' by not taking a call with them.... yikes.
This is a classic case of your ego costing you deals. Something I definitely struggled with when I first started.
If you send 100 cold outreach messages, emails, cold calls, whatever...
You should expect that 90% of them are not going to be interested.
And if you lash out and become upset at them for not wanting to talk to you, you've successfully made sure that they will never work with you in the future and if your name comes up from one of their friends (which it will, because the business space is very small)
They will tell their friend that you were a jerk and their friend also won't hire you.
If someone says no, that's okay.
Some of my biggest deals came from people who said no at first then reached back out down the line.
Don't kill your future opportunities by letting your ego get in the way today.
