:/ Church refusing to baptize me…What do you guys think about this?
Y’all so I have been going to this local church and have not been baptized and was scheduled to do a beach baptism this Saturday. The Pastor calls me up and is asking about my situation with Chris (he’s my fiancé) and our living situation. So I tell him that he just moved back down from up north and we do live together. He goes on to say that he cannot baptize me because I am not living by Gods Word.
What he doesn’t know is that yes we are living together. We’re getting married on April 17th. We don’t sleep in the same bed, nor do we fornicate. Am I like doing something wrong? Do I need to be some perfect person to be able to get baptized? I am just at a loss here and a bit sad because I was so excited to get baptized and now they refuse to baptize me because of my living situation. What do you guys think about this situation?
