Sunday night meeting recap
It was another great Sunday! We discussed our mountain, valley, and horizon: 🌟Mountain - something that was a high moment for you this week. 🌟Valley - some thing that was difficult or a challenge to you. 🌟Horizon - something you are looking forward to next week. This is a beautiful way to reflect on something you accomplished, something that you are working on or towards, and something you are excited for coming up! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After we went into some film breakdown! We watch an all-time great passer Manu Ginobili and his awesome one more passes. The best time to give a one more pass is when one defender is guarding two offensive players! Ginobili was one of the best team players with this vision of the defense and contributed to the Spurs by sharing the ball. He understood when it was his turn to score or someone was open for a better shot. Manu describes him self as "I just consider myself a player, a team player." He help lead the Spurs to 🏆🏆🏆🏆 NBA Championships! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lastly, we broke down Kevin Durants tough hesi pull-up! KD is a master at the way he freezes a defending to see what the defenses next moves and attacks! When you are in your shooting range and the defense has their hands down you want to: Right hand shooters: 🌟Have the ball in your left hand 🌟Change speeds and heights (Gallop or skip into) 🌟 Plant that left foot 🌟Move your right hand to the ball and bring your right foot under you The same rules apply on the left side!! Go give it a try & keep working!!🔥🔥

Sunday night meeting recap
Monday Moves
We are breaking down the great Jalen Brunson! Last film clip we talked about our comfort circle. This clip we are going to break down our drives - what to look for on a hard close out and what to do when the secondary defender steps up. Jalen Brunson is one of the top guards in the NBA to play off two feet and has creative finishes around the rim. Sport Illustrated said "Jalen Brunson is an incredible all-around player, his ability to think on his feet and connect with others." Brunson has this ability because he utilizes playing off two feet to slow the game down, change speeds, and change directions. Now, just because Brunson is in the NBA doesn't mean that you won't be able to make these moves. Go out an give it a try, use your pivots and be creative! :) https://www.loom.com/share/2b492acf7d5e4caaa5f92ef70c79b416?sid=c7022263-d94f-46ec-9078-57210669bd82

Catch Reads!
Yesterday, I got to talk with one of your skool mates about what I call a "comfort circle". As shooters, we have a certain amount of space that we feel comfortable to shoot with a defense that is closing out on us. Steph Curry's & Klay Thompson's comfort circle is very small to where a defender could be in their face and they will still shoot it. While others have a big comfort circle. Knowing how big or small our comfort circle from the defense is allows us to understand when we should drive and when we should shoot. So in this video, I breakdown some WNBA and NBA players in their catch reads and comfort circles:) Check it out and comment below what you think! https://www.loom.com/share/6c04ad2053fe4ac9ab46b7dbccee111e?sid=1abc66e6-f3fc-4364-af5a-bc73d10e6ebd

Basketball IQ
I’m on the Runnin Rebels 14u team and that’s below the Runnin Rebels 14u Elite team. We practice together and I feel like I’m in between the teams not as low as the first team but not as high as the second. I asked my coach what to improve in my game to try and get better. In which he responded to be a sound player, to make the right plays, know when too shoot, know when to pass, and know when to score. I would appreciate if @Shooters Shoot , @BriAnna Garza , or anyone else could give me some guidance about how to exercise this skill, or how to improve to get to the next level.

🎉Sunday night meeting film clips🎉
Some things to ask yourself while you are watching the film: How did the offense get the shot? Where was the breakdown in the defense to give up the shot? Can you bring this game play back to your team? We will discuss this next Sunday meeting😎
