When I'm creating ad copy, I typically test FIVE different versions.
ONE long form ad copy
ONE medium form ad copy
THREE short form ad copy
ALL with very strong call to action
Some ways you can create your ad copy:
Use curiosity
Pull from existing ads / email subjects
Look for ideas in the Ad Library
