· God will only give you what you’re ready for. If you want more, you’ve gotta get ready for more. You’ve gotta know who you are and believe in what you do before anyone else will. If you don’t believe in you, then why would anyone else? Why should they? In the stillness of this morning, a profound truth settled in my heart: "God will only give you what you’re ready for." This insight, simple yet powerful, is a cornerstone of spiritual growth and personal development. It’s not merely about asking for more; it’s about preparing ourselves to be capable of receiving and managing more. The Power of Self-Belief One of the first steps in preparation is self-belief. If we don’t believe in ourselves, why would we expect others to? Self-belief is foundational to receiving God’s blessings. It involves recognizing your own worth, understanding your purpose, and committing to your mission with confidence. When you believe in yourself and your potential, you align with God’s vision for your life, preparing yourself to receive His gifts. This self-belief must be genuine and deep-rooted. It’s not about superficial affirmations or empty self-talk but about a deep conviction that you are capable and worthy of the blessings God intends for you. If you struggle to believe in yourself, it’s worth examining why and addressing those underlying doubts. This may involve personal reflection, prayer, or seeking counsel to bolster your confidence. - Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." The Role of Affirmations In my own practice, affirmations have become a crucial tool for reinforcing self-belief. Each day, I read and listen to affirmations that remind me of who I am and what I aspire to become. These affirmations serve as daily declarations of my values, goals, and identity. They help me stay focused on my mission and maintain a positive mindset.

The journey of seeking and understanding secrets began with a simple yet profound instruction from one of my favorite mentors, Major English: “Ask for a secret.” This seemingly straightforward directive became a catalyst for a deeper exploration into what secrets truly are and how they can impact our lives. Interestingly, the concept of a secret is perceived differently by various people. For example, my wife defines a secret as “being told something by someone and not telling someone else.” In contrast, my own definition is more expansive: “Something that is unknown by most people but, if known, could help them to be better.” Google’s definition adds another layer: “Not known or seen or not meant to be known or seen by others.” Each of these definitions captures a unique aspect of what a secret represents. Each perspective on what constitutes a secret holds validity, reflecting the diverse ways in which people understand and interact with hidden knowledge. My wife’s definition emphasizes the act of confidentiality and discretion. My own definition highlights the potential for secrets to provide valuable insights that can lead to personal improvement. Google’s definition encompasses the essence of secrecy itself, focusing on the element of being concealed. These varying definitions underscore a central truth: secrets are not one-dimensional. They are complex and multifaceted, shaped by personal experiences, cultural contexts, and individual purposes. The common thread among these perspectives is that secrets involve information that is not readily accessible to everyone, but the implications of that information can vary widely. Inspired by these different interpretations, I decided to document the daily secrets that reveal themselves to me. My goal is to share these insights with others, providing a source of guidance and inspiration for personal growth. By capturing and reflecting on these revelations, I hope to offer valuable knowledge that can help others navigate their own journeys.

You must actually care about people. In order to care, you need to know what they care about. What is their vision? If they don’t have one, see how they feel about helping you achieve yours. How can they fit in? Can they fit in? Ask and you shall receive. – Matthew 7:7 Every day is filled with mysteries, both small and large, waiting to be unraveled by the curious and the faithful. But the deepest secrets of life—the ones that guide us toward true fulfillment—often require divine revelation. They are not hidden from us because God wants to keep them from us, but because He desires us to seek Him. In that pursuit, we learn not just what to ask for, but how to ask, and more importantly, why we ask. The Power of Asking Jesus’ words resonate as a foundational truth: “Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). This promise is both simple and profound, calling us to a deeper engagement with God. It reminds us that God is not distant or unapproachable; He is ready to reveal His wisdom and guidance to those who earnestly seek it. Similarly, Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call to me and I will answer you, and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." But how often do we go through life without asking, without seeking, without knocking? How often do we assume we know the answers, or worse, believe the answers don’t exist at all? God’s Secrets Are for Us The truth is, God has secrets—secrets meant for us, secrets that can unlock parts of ourselves and our lives that have yet to be discovered. But there’s a catch: we must be willing to ask for them. And not just ask in the fleeting moments when desperation strikes or when we face a fork in the road, but ask daily, with intention and humility. - James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." - Psalm 25:4-5: "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

Trust in him. Trust that his word is full of promises for his people. Trust that his people include me and that ALL of those promises are for me. How many promises do you think there are in the Bible? There are 8,810 promises in the Bible. Those promises are for me. And for you... If you believe! In the quiet of this morning, as the sun began to gently rise and the world around me stirred awake, I found myself reflecting on the profound simplicity of a divine secret I received: "Trust in Him." It was a whisper of clarity that cut through the noise of daily life and the complexity of my own doubts. Trusting in God’s promises is not about seeing the full picture immediately but about believing in the certainty of what God has said. It’s about understanding that His promises are a reflection of His character—unchanging, unwavering, and deeply committed to our well-being. When we read the Bible and come across these promises, we must remember that they are not merely historical or theoretical—they are living words meant to impact our present reality. - 2 Corinthians 1:20: "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God." - Joshua 23:14: "Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed." The Personal Nature of God's Promises One of the most transformative realizations I've had is understanding that God's promises are personal. Each promise in the Bible is not just a general statement but a specific assurance to those who choose to believe. The promises of provision, protection, peace, and purpose are not just for the historical figures we read about but are for us today. For example, when the Bible says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5), this is a promise meant for every believer, including you and me. When we struggle to trust, we must remind ourselves of these promises and recognize that they are meant to be anchors in our lives.

On August 3, 2024, during a Bible study with one of my mentors, I posed a question that would ignite a significant shift in my spiritual journey: "What is your daily routine?" His response was both simple and profound. Each morning, he begins by asking God for a "secret of the day." This concept, though unfamiliar to me, immediately resonated. It seemed like a fresh perspective—one I couldn’t ignore. Curious, I probed further about how he approached this practice. He described a serene ritual: sipping his coffee on the porch while asking God for the day's secret, then patiently waiting for a response. His conviction was intense, yet his method appeared remarkably straightforward. Despite this, I found the idea intimidating and continued to ask questions—about the timing of the answers, the significance of the location, and what to do if no secret was received. The study ended, but I was left with an unsettling sense that I was missing out by not seeking these divine insights daily. Determined to explore this, I decided to try it myself, the very next day. The next morning, while praying at church, I asked God to reveal a secret to me... To my amazement, He did. The experience was exhilarating and eye-opening. For too long, I had complained that I wasn't hearing from God. In truth, the problem was my lack of consistent engagement—my failure to ask God to speak directly to me is why we were not communicating properly. As astonishing as it seemed, the revelation was simple: the key to uncovering these divine secrets is to ask for them. Yet, this practice requires patience. We live in a culture that craves instant results, and many of us struggle with waiting for a response. I like to call it a microwave society or a problem with the expectation of instant gratification. One of the first secrets is that sometimes, the answers take time, and the willingness to wait is crucial. Moreover, it’s important to understand that there truly are no hidden mysteries beyond our grasp. As Ecclesiastes 1:9 states, "There is nothing new under the sun." Everything we need to know is already accessible; the so-called secrets are merely those that God has yet to reveal. There are only two reasons for this delay: either you haven’t asked for the revelation, or God is waiting until you are ready to receive it.
