Online plant identification resources
Here are some FREE websites for plant identification! Most are for Australia as that is what I am familiar with, BUT in the future hopefully this will change... ;) EUCLID by LUCID APPS is also really good for eucalyptus species & Worldwidewattle is great for.... you guessed it, wattles! What do you use? Would love to find a good one for QLD. You can also find this document in the plant identification tab in Classrooms

2. Botanical terms I've learnt this week, What about you?
Diurnal: Occurring or flowering during the daytime (as opposed to nocturnal) Samara: A dry indehiscent fruit with a wing longer than the seed. In the key class we did the other night, I incorrectly suggested it was the seed (soz!), it's actually the wing and little did I know, casuarinaceae species have winged fruit! Check out the below diagram and Diagram G below! What have you learnt? Pulling something from the archives and writing it out is proven to be a great way to strengthen your memory of it!
