Mental Health for Hospitality Workers
I recently came across some incredible resources for those of us in the grind of food service. I am not affiliated in anyway to these groups, but I loved what they are doing, and I wanted to share their sites and links with all of you. You can learn more in the classroom where I made a module for Mental Health. These will live and we can continue to add to this list if you know of similar groups offering specialized support for our industry.

Boost Restaurant Sales with Smart Menu Tricks...
Here are some simple tips to make a restaurant menu work better. These tricks help people choose the best items, boosting sales without them even knowing it! Eye-Catching Menu Design: - Show Off the Best Dishes: Place the highest-profit items in the โ€œGolden Triangleโ€โ€”the center, top-right, and top-left of the menuโ€”where most eyes go first. - Use Space: Highlight popular items with color, larger fonts, or boxes, but donโ€™t clutter. Give each dish room so it stands out. Easy Pricing Tips: - Skip Dollar Signs: Removing dollar signs makes the cost feel less obvious. - Use a โ€œDecoyโ€ Item: Place a high-priced item near other dishes to make them seem like better deals. Descriptive, Tasty Language: - Use Descriptive Words: Longer, fun descriptions make dishes sound more delicious. Try โ€œ5-Layer Chocolate Cakeโ€ instead of just โ€œChocolate Cake.โ€ - Add Nostalgia: Words like โ€œGrandmaโ€™sโ€ make dishes feel homey and comforting. These small changes make menus more exciting and help guide choices to higher-value dishes. Got any other tips? Share below!

Quick tip for handling multiple booking requests
Handling multiple booking requests over the phone can be extremely hectic and so much revenue can be missed from missing those booking calls. Not only this, customers will be unsatisfied and likely to leave bad reviews if theyโ€™re not treated as a priority. Thatโ€™s why an automated phone caller solution would be perfect to avoid this. Voice agents are realistic, human sounding AI callers that pick up the phone every-time a customer (it can simultaneously answer multiple calls). These callers can eliminate missed calls from customers, leading to higher customer satisfaction. Not only this, but your bottom line will be increased as you wonโ€™t have to hire new staff to fill in the space for the missed calls. This is also a system that reduces any human error, so any slip ups in an order will always be avoided.
