In a world that revolves around digital presence, it's crucial (for most) that you bring your business online to capture a new pool of potential customers and captivate your audience. However, don't be a "Facebook mum"; stay away from the awkward close up selfies and the "great lunch out with the hubby" captions.
👀 You need to be captivating and attractive!
Canva is an online tool for creating digital designs for a vast array of different purposes. Let's have a look at the basics:
- Search https://www.canva.com.
- Click "create a design" and select one of the various made-to-measure blank canvas to use. For example: Instagram stories, business cards, LinkedIn banner and so much more - all with the correct measurements.
- On "Design", in the tool column, search or scroll for a suitable pre-made template to match the kind of post you are looking for.
- Add your own colours, texts and pictures to suit your brand.
- When you're done: share > download > select "PNG" if you want a normal image, or "PDF Standard" if you want a PDF document > download.
🔥 Now you have your new, professional looking piece of content for your business's online presence!
Canvas premium subscription is £10.99 a month; a pretty insignificant price which includes several benefits. If you're not wanting to spend anything, they often offer a 14 day free trial. The main benefit in having the premium subscription is that you get a lot more templates, texts, images and icons, as well as being able to save your creations with a transparent background, ideal for logos.
I'm a big fan of canva as it allows its users to create great looking designs with ease. In fact, all the visuals on The Vault were made on Canva in about 5 minutes... piss easy. Look out for our Canva course which will teach you more in depth how to use all the features.
