If you have a business in the United States , avoid making this mistake that will cost you $500 per day🤯… As of January 1st, millions of small businesses will need to file a beneficial ownership information report with FinCEN, a branch with the U.S. Department of Treasury. If you formed a S CORP OR C CORP or a LLC, a BOI is required unless you’re exempt. 📝If you registered your business PRIOR to Jan 1, 2024, you have 1 year to complete this report, until January 1, 2025. 📝If you filed on or after January 1, 2024, you have to file within 90 days of receiving your actual or public records of your formation. You will file via the FinCENs BOI e-filing portal at https://boiefiling.fincen.gov. The primary purpose of this report is to avoid or prevent companies that are money laundering, tax evasion, fraud, etc. Don’t get caught not filing this form and end up having to pay $500 fees.
