Day 3 Peaches: LLW in the real world
I'm lucky to have a good chunk of land to train on but it can mean I get in the habit of staying there and not venturing out. So about 4 weeks ago I made a pact with myself to take out Peaches and test what we're learning out in the real world. I need to transfer those skills to give my girl more opportunities to enjoy the country walks and amazing beaches nearby. Today was one of those "training walks". Around the country lanes as the sun was coming up. She was excellent, ignoring the livestock and a dog we saw and incredibly good on the lead. 💪

Lupe's Day 69: Tracking
Today has been totally rushed as we have tickets to see Edgar Allen Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. Not something we normally do but it will be good! It's being hosted at a hall that's set in a huge graveyard so it's very fitting. I managed to get some circle tracking in with Lupe about midday as I haven't done any tracking for about a week so good to mix it up. I think the tracking was pretty good. He was distracted for the first few minutes as it was a noisy environment but when he began to focus the tracking was nice!

Day 2 Peaches: Hand Touch, LLW & Work on proofing Indication
Big work day today but managed to get two sessions in. First frosty session was simple stuff. Back to basics Hand Touch recalls and maintaining the LLW. Afternoon session was bloomin' excellent. Been working on maintaining a freeze indication no matter what I do. Got to the point today were Peaches would stay hovering over the scent whilst I gave her a few (gentle) prods and strokes. She aced it. Didn't move once. Super star. 💪

Lupe's Day 68: Bitework
Thursdays. Best day of the week. We're down to Reading every Thursday for bitework with Alex. His barking is growing stronger and he's beginning to guard nicely. I'm so happy with how he is doing for only 5 months old 😍 I also worked Onyx in Obedience. She has just come into season and seemed super food motivated so I'm not sure if that's related. She worked well anyway. We did some stays and heelwork.
