Salt is needed for proper hydration. However please do not consume to much salt as this is bad for you. One crystal of coarse Himalayan sea salt is enough to consume (for every glass of water you have).
Why is this so?
Sodium (the main mineral in salt) pulls moisture into all of the body's cells for proper hydration. People who do not consume enough natural salt tend to be people who need the toilet straight after they drink water.
Best salt to consume?
Stay away from the very fine table salt that you get. It is bad for you. Instead use Sea salt, Celtic salt or Himalayan pink salt.
Himalayan sea salt in particular includes 84 different minerals. Even normal sea salt is a good choice.
