3 Ways I use AI almost every day
Whether you think it should be allowed to exist in the world or not, there's no denying how helpful AI can be in lightening your workload.
Here are three ways I use it almost every day:
✍️ Light Copyediting
What it does: I write for many clients, and they each have their distinct voice or words they like to use. When I don't want AI to rewrite my stuff completely, I use the "Light Copyeditor" prompt to clean it up. Works awesome.
Prompt for ChatGPT: Act as an experienced copyeditor. Please edit this article/copy lightly, just focusing on grammar, clarity, and punctuation. I want to maintain the tone of voice and character.
🔑 Provide key takeaways from a long-form video or article
What it does: I don't always have time to watch a long video or read a full article. When I want to consume information or get key information, I'll drop the transcripts (or copy from the article) into ChatGPT and have it provide me with key takeaways. If I want it to look closer at a specific area or provide more information from a video, I'll re-prompt it to focus on that part.
Prompt for ChatGPT: Act as a writer with 10 years of experience. Please take this YouTube transcript (or article) and provide me with helpful key takeaways or learnings.
Re-prompt (if nec.): Please dive deeper into the section about X.
👀 What am I missing?
What it does: Sometimes, I write an article, sales page, or script and think something might be missing, or I just want to know what else the reader/viewer might want to know about a specific subject.
Prompt: Act as a senior-level content strategist (or marketer). Please assess this copy and tell me what else I could add to make it more valuable to the reader.
Typically, it provides several more points I could make. I'll take some and leave others. For instance, if it gives me 7 points, but I like numbers 2, 4, and 6. I'll re-prompt it: "Please add sections based on numbers 2, 4, and 6. Be sure to put them in the spots that make the most sense within the flow of the article."
I hope these help you as much as they help me!
