Of Distrokid, Amuse, TuneCore, CD Baby, among others, what would be your first choice to distribute your music to the DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc), and how is your platform of choice better than the others?

@Gibbs Herbert Akena I think the price structure is hard to beat. Its a flat rate now and super affordable. $15/year for unlimited releases and 100% streaming revenue...you see anything better than this let me know lol.

How can we still gain value with instagram? Since they be changing the algorithm everytime

Algorithms are built to give ppl things they want to see and engage with to KEEP THEM ON THE PLATFORM!! They give boosts to new features they are testing or adding. But through all the changes, the basics are the same: Video > photos (its more interactive and engaging) Watch time is key. Shares, saves and comments all communicate ppl are receiving value. Your goal is connecting with real people and giving them content that makes them feel and teaches or gives something they didn't know or something they can use in their lives. You take this main goal of sharing an emotion through useful or entraining content to real ppl and you do it in the confines of the platform (videos, strong captions on carousel posts, stories) and the more people respond the more the algo's favor your content. You satisfy your audience and the platform by keeping your audience engaged and using the app. They need content to survive never forget that!!

Anyone tried growing Tiktok in 2023? This is killing me
Restarting an tiny old account in 2023 (~400 followers), and views/likes have been terrible. 200 views and 3-7% engagement on all posts, with a lot of posts getting limited to 50-100 views. Not shadowbanned, showing up on FYP, not categorized. Tried all types of things, but can't get engagement above 10%. - Did 3-set tests of other well-performing posts from leaders in my space (DJ videos, singing, playing instrument, quote posts, production behind the scenes, etc.) and ended up hiding the majority. - Posted consistently daily for over two weeks - Trying offscreen hashtags, etc. limited to 3 according to current discussions about algorithm Would appreciate anything at this point, about to start a new account from scratch and see if it helps. Totally out of ideas here. Open to posting my account if it's allowed. Spotify is actually doing fantastic over the last couple months, but not sure if there's any way to feed off that... Tiktok seems dead in the water for me. Hell, had my girl start a new account and post a random cat picture and random cat video, and both got >150 likes in a day. So KMN.

I'd say keep working, the market feedback is saying that your content needs improvement. At face value. Try the posts on reels and youtube shorts also to confirm.

Crazy Stats
Hello peeps. I saw something incredible today that I just have to share. I check my Spotify for Artist every day. This morning was no different. I noticed that in the last 28 days 4625 people listened to my latest single, "My Way", and 4,499 of them saved it. That's a save rate of 97%. I can't believe it. It seems crazy. I noticed that people are streaming the song 3 to 4 times. I'm excited but in disbelief.

Congrats bro!! Build content around it. Short form videos especially and try to identify some influencers either from your region or that are fans of your genre (I haven't heard the song yet). Capitalize on this momentum. I'd even say try to book a consult with Sean and Khorey if you can.
