Free, but for how long?
Hey Skool Community! This is my first time building a community of my own. I'm starting it as a free community and eventually moving it to paid. At what point, or at how many members, have you been the most successful moving from free to paid? Many thanks in advance!

Many people do free to about 200 - 400 members then add a paid community.

@Jacob Lewis I just go big and do a paid community and a free community. Use your free community as a funnel and provide tons of value then members who want more 1-1 time will go to paid. Or members who want a more done for you service will pay high ticket.
The Grass Isn't Always Greener on The Other Side (Skool Journey)
When I initially joined Skool, there was some features that weren't available. Then all of a sudden it was. I was on a roll with my first FREE community, but then decided to go paid because: 1. I didn't want to split my time between 2 communities 2. I wanted to put everything into one place (which some of my previous followers had paid for) During this time, I wasn't able to add people into paid one-time course areas (now that has changed of course). Then during my paid community of course traffic slowed down. Then the payouts took longer somewhere between 8-14 days before funds were released. Not to mention the bank takes a couple more days before funds are fully available. I personally didn't like this hold up on my funds. I also couldn't and still can't offer membership tiers. So, I did what I thought would be better. I left and went to Circle. All I can say, is that I couldn't even stay on Circle for an entire 2 weeks, before I came back to Skool. Circle was great from an admin perspective and with all the bells & whistles.... BUT and that's a BIG BUT - their mobile experience sucked! Admins do not have the ability to take care of administrative tasks via mobile which is highly important for me. Also, the engagement was different from Skools. I asked the few members that transitioned over how they felt about the UX (User Experience). They felt Skool was better in that regard. So, here I am BACK and proud to be back on Skool. Even though Skool, might not have all the bells & whistles, yet.... they are keeping the user experience in mind. It also feels like Skool was made with a mobile first approach, unlike the other platforms out there. I say this because, when you're growing a community to help others, even though another platform might sound good to you and easy for you to use... You always need to keep your Audience front and center. You have to have what's BEST for them in mind. - Not just thinking about what's best for you, but for them.

@Matthew Thompson I just want to say that it is a privilege to know that there are true gentlemen like yourself and @Ted Carr and @Benny D in the world. I spent a long time removed from society, and being back in it, it's a good feeling to know that you gentlemen exist.
