on the verge of hanging it up for awhile so any help would be a blessing..
the unthinkable has happened for the second time in my career. my project files became corrupted. All of them.. hundreds of songs, thousands of samples, and countless hours of work gone. So my drives files corrupted. The external drive still boots up but all the files within the drive are empty. Does anyone have any clue what's going on or a fix? This is the reason why I have no projects out as this happened before on my Mac (that whole computer died). I'm on windows now if that makes any difference when troubleshooting. I've also ran virus scans and what not but windows can't acess the drive due to it being in read only. Thanks in advance and if no use then idk man Update: Saturday I've gave one more hail mary attempt at restoring the files before sending the disk off to a tech. I've managed to restore a good portion from the disk through the Wondershare platform. Not all of it but a good 70ish % so no major complaints there! I'll still sent the disk to a tech at some point but for now I'll take this as a win. From here I'm working on setting up these backups and auto backup locations. Thanks again everyone for the suggestions 🫡🤘

@DeShaun Rawlings man I'm sorry to hear this. I just now caught up on this conversation. I feel for you, I've had this happen and got lucky that I had most of it back up on my other drive and it was OK. I wish I had a tip that would help. But either way sending positive vibes and fi gers crossed it comes out ok. 🙏🏻

ok deep breath mix and master trying!
On the music site where I hang out just seen a metal hard rock song needing mix and master for spotify!. There already is a mix from years back but its like mmm. I am going to have a go and practice at it and master! But if anybody wants to hone their skills ...... I believe because it goes to streaming there is the split contract thing, not much money I know but you technical skills get up there! In case any people are interested ...

Hey, there welcome
Making Sync Your Business
For those planning to aggressively pursue Sync Licensing as a business, you might want to check out https://www.trackstage.io/. It's a great platform for organizing and maintaining all your records for each song: 1.) tracks and stems, 2.) songwriters, 3.) producers, 4) musicians, 4) split sheets, 5.) PRO info, 6.) releases, 7.) contracts, 8.) sync agreements, 9.) pitches, etc. The site also helps you identify key words and attaches that metadata to your tracks and stems. You can email pitches directly from the site and receive feedback when someone opens your pitch. It doesn't know if they read it or listened to the song(s), but it at least confirms they got it, which you usually never know unless they decide to license your material. Robina and Scott are really pleasant and helpful. I think they are like the Mastering.com for organizing the business side of your sync licensing. Check them out. FYI: I get nothing for recommending them, I just think they provide a needed service and they are fun people to work with. Either way, best of luck in your sync endeavors.
