Sports dads out there
Thought it was a very unique experience for my wife to deliver in Ann Arbor at the UofM hospital! We got to watch the game last night while listening to the hallways in the woman’s birth wing screaming all night 😂 I did a good job and kept it to fist pumps while I held the baby skin to skin on my chest. Ps - she went to Purdue so she didn’t find it special. I did NOT go to UofM but have been a lifetime fan & gone to >10 games.

@Chris Kern wowza! How cool. Goooo lions!
Our baby Daisy was born today!
Sitting in the hospital chair holding the baby while she sleeps for the second 1/2 of the night so mommy can get some sleep. Took us from 11 (after Michigan won the championship… GO BLUE!) to realize she isn’t hungry or fussy, she’s just a cuddle bug and wants to be held to sleep. So now, mommy is getting some sleep while I work on courses. #angelsintheoutfield

@Eric Scott get the pump! Thanks for the note. I’m Exhausted 1 but I’ve been prepared.
Module 5
Get 'er Done: If you have any stories of laughing through or being grateful in spite of a hard situation, we'd love to hear it... This whole module was spot on. Thanks for covering a vulnerable topic with depth, honesty and some laughs. I don't think most guys talk through any of this stuff with anyone. (I asked my wife's permission to share this). When she was around 2 months PP with our first son, it was a weird ordeal because her breasts were full of milk and huge (amazing), but they were hard and really painful (not amazing), so the whole thing felt like it could be great but just wasn't. One day when I was in the shower, she got in with me and randomly goes, "Hey babe, watch this." She proceeded to squeeze one boob with both hands and literally five streams of milk went shooting in different directions. It was so ridiculous that we both died laughing and I remember just really loving that she took a kind of downer situation and made it something we could both crack up about. Even though sex is my favorite, I still can appreciate that not all intimacy looks the same. Thanks for this module. It was so good.

Haha good for both of you!
Toddler to daycare
Thoughts on continuing to send toddler first born to daycare during the 1-6 week timeframe with second while both parents are at home for most part (first 5 weeks) ? I think we like idea of having that period during the day to focus on newborn but also feel some guilt about being home and not doing full unit bonding. Our provider is great and very flexible to all options but just trying to figure out what might work best for us.

Glad you shared your question. We are welcoming our third daughter tomorrow and intend to keep her 3 year old sister in daycare. Giving us the chance to bond and connect with the new baby.
Session 1 Get er’ Done
What am I doing to lead my family? - Just surpassed 3 years free of alcohol. I’ve committed to my wife and girls to keep the house managed; grocery shopping & meal planning, daily cleaning and hiring cleaners, dishes laundry and pet care. My wife manages finances and house scheduling. Thoughts on raising children with future in mind? - First and foremost my wife and I are committed to breaking generational traumas that we were raised in & take the burden of holding healthy boundaries when needed. - I have committed this year to sharing positive things about other family members to my children and wife. Encouraging everyone to look for the good in people and recognize them for their effort.
